Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Receives Dr. Mohammad Taher Abu Raghif

The Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Mohammad Hussein Bahr Aluloom, received on Sunday, February 23, 2025, the Iraqi doctor Mohammad Taher Kamil Abu Raghif, whose an Orthopedic and Peripheral Nerve, and Trauma surgeon, and one of the prominent Iraqi competencies residing in the United Kingdom, after the end of his volunteer mission in Gaza.

Ambassador Bahr Aluloom commended the distinguished humanitarian role played by Dr. Abu Raghif as he volunteered for more than seven months in the Gaza Strip as part of the international medical teams, stressing that his efforts represent an honorable model for Iraqis in the humanitarian fields. He also praised the title given to him by the Prime Minister as an “Ambassador of Humanity”, referring to the decision to establish an Iraqi hospital in Gaza after Dr. Abu Raghif’s meeting with the Prime Minister today.

On his part, Dr. Abu Raghif expressed his pride in belonging to Iraq and his pride in providing his medical services in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions that the Gaza Strip is going through.
