Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Receives Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister

The Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr Aluloom received Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister Ambassador A. Berris Ekinci, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad on 17 February 2025.
The two sides discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation across various areas, especially economic, trade and investment fields, within the framework of the agreements and memorandums of understanding signed between the two countries, and affirmed their commitment to developing these partnerships in a way that serves the common interests of the two peoples.
Additionally, the meeting discussed the security situations in Lebanon, Syria and Gaza, and underlined the importance of coordinating the positions of both countries towards regional developments, and the need to take effective steps to maintain stability in the region, while emphasizing the prevention of terrorist organizations from using Syrian territory as base for their activities.
