Iraq’s Chargé d’Affaires in Manama Meets President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities to Enhance Cultural Cooperation

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Ihsan Alawi Al Dulaimi met with the President of Bahrain Authority for Culture and Antiquities, Sheikh Khalifa bin Ahmed Al Khalifa, at the Authority’s headquarters. During the meeting the two sides reviewed the profound fraternal and historical ties between Iraq and Bahrain, and stressed the importance of enhancing cultural cooperation between both countries to achieve a rich and productive cultural exchange.

The Chargé d’Affaires affirmed that this meeting represents an important step towards expanding the horizons of joint cultural cooperation, indicating his readiness to support all initiatives that contribute to developing the cultural movement and benefit the two brotherly peoples.

On his part Sheikh Al Khalifa, emphasized the importance of Iraq’s participation in cultural events and festivals organized in Bahrain, calling for hosting Iraqi heritage musical groups to contribute to reviving the cultural evenings hosted by the Kingdom throughout the year.

At the end of the meeting, the two parties agreed to activate cultural activities of various kinds, with a focus on highlighting the antiquities and popular heritage of both Iraq and Bahrain, confirming the historical and cultural ties that unite the two brotherly countries.
