Iraqi Chargé d’Affaires in Manama Discusses Strengthening Bilateral Cooperation with Bahraini Foreign Ministry Undersecretary

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq to the Kingdom of Bahrain Dr. Ihsan Alawi Al Dulaimi met with Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs for Consular and Administrative Affairs of the Kingdom of Bahrain Ambassador Dr. Isa Nasser Al Nuaimi, at the Ministry’s headquarters on 29 December 2024.  

The Chargé d’Affaires extended the embassy’s thanks and appreciation to the Undersecretary for his participation in marking the centenary of the Iraqi Foreign Ministry and Victory Day. As well he reviewed the history of bilateral relations between Iraq and Bahrain, commending the role of Iraqi academic and social competencies in the Kingdom, indicating the recent visit of a number of Iraqi delegations, given the political and economic importance of the Kingdom of Bahrain in the region.

The Chargé d’Affaires emphasized the importance of promoting investment opportunities between the two countries across various areas, affirming the need to expand and strengthen Bahraini diplomatic representation in Iraq, especially in the consular aspect, Dr. Al Dulaimi called for activating the work of the Iraqi-Bahraini Joint Committee, and enhancing joint cooperation to benefit from Bahrain’s experiences in the field of governance and administration, and transferring them to Iraq.

On his part, Ambassador Dr. Al Nuaimi welcomed the Chargé d’Affaires ad interim and expressed his appreciation for this visit which reflects the Iraqi Embassy’s keenness to enhance communication with the Bahraini Foreign Ministry and official agencies in the Kingdom, in addition he commended the distinguished bilateral relations and the role played by the Iraqi Embassy in providing consular services to Bahraini citizens and the Iraqi community. He also stressed his readiness to cooperate with the Embassy in everything that contributes to serving the members of the Iraqi community in Bahrain and enhancing joint diplomatic work between the two countries.
