Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Participates in Qatar National Day Celebrations

The Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Bilateral Relations Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Bahr Aloolum, participated in the celebration held by the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Baghdad on the occasion of the National Day on December 17, 2024.

During the celebration, the Undersecretary delivered a speech on behalf of the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, in which he extended his sincere congratulations to the sisterly State of Qatar, its leadership, government and people, on this national occasion.

The Undersecretary commended the leadership of the State of Qatar and its prominent role in facing regional and international challenges, and its tireless efforts to achieve peace, especially during the Zionist aggression on Gaza and Lebanon, where Qatar was able to prove its effective presence through its forward-looking vision and its determination on achieving peace and stability in the region.

In his speech Undersecretary Bahr Aloolum, underlined Iraq’s keenness to enhance bilateral cooperation between the two brotherly countries, adding the need of joint work to achieve the interests of the two peoples and enhance their position in the region and on the international arena.

At the end of his speech the Undersecretary congratulated His Excellency Ambassador Sultan bin Mubarak Al-Kubaisi and the staff of the Qatari Embassy in Baghdad, appreciating their great efforts in advancing bilateral relations between the two countries in a way that serves common interests.
