Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Inaugurates Unified National Card System at Iraqi Embassy in UAE
On Sunday, November 17, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, inaugurated the Unified National Card System at the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in the United Arab Emirates, in the presence of Ambassador Mudhaffar Mustafa Al Jubouri and the Consul General in Dubai and the Northern Emirates Mr. Ammad Abdulhamid.
In his speech on this occasion, the Minister emphasized that the inauguration of the Unified National Card System, represents a strategic step towards developing public services, and reflects the government’s commitment to providing the best for every Iraqi citizen. The Minister explained that the Unified National Card is not just an official identification document, but rather a symbol of the unity of Iraq and the cohesion of its people, and the system aims to facilitate procedures for citizens, ensuring that they obtain services efficiently and quickly, without suffering.
On his part Ambassador Al Jubouri commended the great efforts made by the Foreign Ministry headed by His Excellency Minister Fuad Hussein, in cooperation with the Ministry of Interior, headed by Minister Abdul Amir Al-Shammari, to achieve this important project. Minister Hussein affirmed that this step comes in response to the needs of the Iraqi community abroad, which aspires to modern and effective services that promote their connection to the homeland, the Minister added that the project places the Iraqi citizen abroad at the core of priorities, which provides them with easy access to distinctive services.
At the end of the ceremony, the Minister toured the Embassy to overview the work of the system, where the specialized team delegated by the Interior Ministry provided a brief explanation of the mechanism for issuing the unified national card.
As well the ceremony was attended by a group of the Iraqi community, in which they expressed their thanks and appreciation for the services provided by the consular division at the Embassy, additionally they praised the facilitation of the procedures for their official transactions, and the enhancement of their communication with Iraq.
