Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Receives Turkish Ambassador to Iraq

Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Multilateral and Legal Affairs, Mr. Omer Al Barzanji received in his office at the Ministry’s headquarters, on 29 October 2024, the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq, Mr. Bora Inan.

At the beginning of the meeting, Undersecretary Al Barzanji welcomed the Turkish Ambassador, highlighting the depth of the brotherly relations between the two countries.

As well both sides discussed a number of issues related to consular and legal affairs concerning Turkish nationals, in addition to the affairs of the citizens of the two countries, and working to find solutions to end some pending issues.

The two sides stressed the importance of enhancing bilateral cooperation and coordination to achieve common interests. Undersecretary Al Barzanji also expressed the Ministry’s readiness to provide full support to facilitate the tasks of the Turkish Embassy in Baghdad and overcome any obstacles that may face its work.

On his part, Ambassador Inan extended his thanks and appreciation for the warm reception, stressing his country’s keenness to continue cooperation in a way that serves the interests of the two countries.
