Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Receives EU Ambassador and a Number of European Ambassadors Accredited to Iraq

On 18 September, The Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Mr. Omer Al Berzinji received Ambassador of the European Union to Iraq Mr. Thomas Seiler and a number of European ambassadors accredited to Iraq. During the meeting they exchanged views on issues related to multilateral and legal affairs.

Undersecretary Al Berzinji affirmed the importance of the support provided by European Union to Iraq across various fields, underlining the significance of enhancing cooperation between the two sides to serve common interests. On his part Ambassador Seiler expressed the European Union’s commitment to continuing its support for Iraq, stressing the Union’s keenness to strengthen cooperation.

At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to continue coordination between Iraq and the European Union to enhance cooperation across all fields.
