Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets Several Omani Journalists and Affirms Depth of Relations, Economic Cooperation

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Iraq Mr. Fuad Hussein met with several Omani journalists in the Sultanate of Oman, on September 15. At the meeting Minister Fuad Hussein highlighted the depth of the historical relations between Iraq and the Sultanate of Oman, indicating the importance of coordination to hold the joint committee between both countries in Baghdad soon, and the necessity of economic and strategic openness to Oman.

A number of regional and international issues were discussed during the conversation with the journalists, chief among them was Iraq’s role in the file of war on the Gaza Strip and the urgent need to save the Palestinian people. The Minister also referred to the current efforts of the Iraqi government in the field of reconstruction, providing services, and achieving economic development.

In another context Minister Fuad Hussein touched on the Development Road project, emphasizing its importance as a positive and productive partnership, where it will be a safe passage that contributes to accelerating the transfer of goods regionally.
