Arab League Council of Arab Adopts an Iraqi Draft Resolution to Name the Iraqi Building in the League

The Republic of Iraq succeeded in adopting a draft resolution at the Council of the 162nd session of the Arab League Council at the ministerial level, held at the Arab League’s headquarters in Cairo, regarding naming the building attached to the League of Arab States as the “Iraqi Building”. This decision came as part of the grant provided by Iraq to construct an annex building to the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States during the Baghdad Summit in 2012.

The construction work is scheduled to be completed by the end of this year, according to what was stated in the draft resolution, with extending thanks and appreciation to the Iraqi government for its continued support to the League of Arab States, which enhances the General Secretariat’s capabilities to perform its tasks efficiently and effectively.
