Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Receives British Ambassador to Iraq

On Saturday, August 31, 2024. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein received the British Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Stephen Hitchen. 

During the meeting the two sides discussed ways to enhance and develop bilateral relations between Iraq and the United Kingdom across various areas. Additionally they highlighted the major challenges on the regional scene, with a special focus on the importance of supporting international initiatives aimed at achieving a ceasefire in Gaza and providing humanitarian and medical assistance, to alleviate the humanitarian suffering in the affected areas.
