Head of Administrative Department Leads Iraq’s Delegation to Arab League Permanent Committee for Administrative and Financial Affairs Meetings 

The Head of Administrative Department Minister Plenipotentiary Dr. Ihsan Allawi lead the Iraqi delegation to the meetings of the 106th regular session of the Permanent Committee for Administrative and Financial Affairs, which was held at the headquarters of the General Secretariat of the League of Arab States.

The meeting included approving the paragraphs and topics of the proposed agenda, including the League’s budget. The head of the Iraqi delegation requested that a recommendation be submitted to the General Secretariat to name the building attached to the League, which Iraq contributed in financing its construction with a name that refers to Iraq or one of its civilizational and cultural symbols.

Additionally Dr. Allawi indicated that the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein ordered eleven paintings by prominent Iraqi artists to be sent to decorate the corridors of the new building.

The head of the delegation also requested that a recommendation be submitted to the General Secretariat to announce the results of the tests conducted by the Secretariat in February for applicants of previously announced positions in the Arab League, which would contribute to countries, including Iraq, obtaining their entitlements according to their share of positions in the League, this recommendation was approved by all member states.
