Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Discusses with his Jordanian Counterpart Stopping Aggression on Gaza and Enhancing Bilateral Cooperation
Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Dr. Fuad Hussein held a phone call with his Jordanian counterpart Mr. Ayman Al Safadi, on Thursday, August 22, 2024. During the call they discussed the efforts exerted to end the Israeli aggression on Gaza, and all Israel’s violations of international law and its escalatory measures.
The two Ministers called on the international community and its institutions to assume their responsibilities and take practical steps and firm stances to compel Israel to end the aggression on Gaza, and abide by international law and international humanitarian law.
Additionally both Ministers warned of the serious repercussions of Israel’s continued illegitimate measures in the occupied West Bank, including East Al Quds, from building and expanding settlements, confiscating Palestinian lands, and attacks on Islamic and Christian holy sites in occupied city of Al Quds, in addition to settlers terrorize.
The discussion also addressed issues of common concern especially in light of the regional developments that requires coordination between the two countries to enhance stability and security in the region.
Both sides stressed their keenness to strengthen bilateral relations, especially within the framework of the tripartite cooperation mechanism with the Arab Republic of Egypt.
