Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Receives Chinese Ambassador to Iraq

The Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Mr. Omer Al Berzinji received the Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to Iraq, Mr. Cui Wei, in his office at the Ministry’s headquarters, on Thursday, August 15, 2024. During the meeting they highlighted the historical relations between Iraq and China, and discussed issues of international nominations and mutual support.

The two sides also discussed the two countries stances on the Palestinian issue, as the Chinese Ambassador reviewed the efforts made by his country in international forums to support the Palestinian issue.

On his part Undersecretary Al Berzinji welcomed the Chinese Ambassador, and expressed his thanks and appreciation for China’s efforts in supporting Arab issues, especially the Palestinian issue.
