Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives Credentials of UAE Ambassador to Iraq

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein received a copy of the credentials of the new UAE Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Abdullah Matar Khamis Khalfan Al Mazrouei, at the Ministry’s headquarters on Tuesday, August 13, 2024. 

The meeting dealt with bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them across economy, investment, energy and trade sectors. Minister Hussein stressed the importance of enhancing joint cooperation, referring to the available investment opportunities in Iraq.

Additionally, they touched on regional issues and efforts to achieve security and stability in the region, the Minister affirmed the commonality of purpose and interest between the two countries.

His Excellency indicated the strategic importance of iraq-UAE relations, and expressed his aspiration to enhance partnership in addressing regional and international challenges, The Minister emphasized the need to activate the signed agreements between the two countries to activate cooperation across various fields.

On his part Ambassador Al Mazrouei stressed the importance of strengthening bilateral relations, expressing his readiness to cooperate closely with the Foreign Ministry to achieve this goal.
