Statement

The Government of the Republic of Iraq expresses its strong condemnation and denunciation of the Israeli aggression on the southern suburb of Beirut, Lebanon, and the targeting of civilians and residential buildings randomly. The Republic of Iraq considers this attack a blatant violation of international law, and conventions.

Iraq affirms that this aggression poses a serious threat to the stability of the region, and warns of its negative repercussions on regional security and peace. Iraq calls on the international community to assume its responsibilities and intervene immediately to put an end to these repeated violations and attacks, and protect civilians in Lebanon, as well the government stresses the need to take the necessary measures to protect the national sovereignty of Lebanon.
