Iraq’s Chargé d’Affaires in Yerevan Meets Armenian Deputy Foreign Minister

The Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Yerevan Dr. Ali Abdul Karim Atiwi, met with Deputy Foreign Minister of Armenia Mr. Vahan Kostanyan, at the Ministry’s headquarters on Monday, July 29, 2024. The meeting reviewed bilateral relations between both countries and ways to enhance them, in addition the two sides explored new cooperation opportunities across various fields to serve the interests of the two friendly peoples.

Additionally, emphasize was placed on proceeding with holding the Iraqi-Armenian Joint Commission in the last quarter of this year, as well the importance of activating the agreements and memorandum of understandings signed between the two countries, they also discussed the most important regional issues and political developments in the region.

on his part, the Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his country’s willingness to develop bilateral relations and wished the Chargé d’Affaires a.i. success in his new duties in Yerevan.
