Head of Neighboring Countries Department Discusses Enhancing Bilateral Relations with Turkish Ambassador

The Head of Neighboring Countries Department Mr. Mohammad Ridha Al Husseini received the Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey to Iraq Mr. Anil Bora Inan, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad. The meeting discussed several topics involving the bilateral relations between both countries and ways to enhance and develop them in the political, economic, security and water fields, in addition they touched on the preparations for high-level delegations mutual visits aimed at further enhancing and developing relations. Additionally, the two sides discussed the outcomes of President Erdogan’s historic visit to Baghdad on April 22, 2024, and the mechanisms agreed upon through joint committees to implement the memoranda of understanding signed during the visit.

As well as the two parties discussed several issues of mutual concern and the importance of cooperation to follow them, for achieving the common interests of the two neighboring countries.
