The Foreign Ministry has followed up on what some media outlets reported regarding allegations of the disappearance of 50,000 Pakistanis in Iraq. In this regard, the Ministry has communicated formally with the friendly Pakistani side represented by Pakistani Minister of Religious Affairs Mr. Chaudhry Salik Hussain, who confirmed that there was confusion in conveying the information he provided, and that what the media reported regarding the disappearance of 50,000 Pakistanis is incorrect. He explained that he will summon the media outlet that published the inaccurate news to investigate the matter.
