Iraq’s Ambassador in Cairo Receives Head of UNRWA Representative Office in Cairo

On Monday, July 15, 2024, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq in Cairo, and its Permanent Representative to the Arab League Dr. Qahtan Taha Khalaf, received Ms. Sahar Al-Jobury, Head of UNRWA Representative Office in Cairo, at the Iraqi Embassy. The meeting dealt with the war on Gaza and the humanitarian crisis the residents of the Strip are suffering, as a result of the criminal practices committed by the occupation forces.

Ambassador Khalaf, stressed that the Palestine issue represents a top priority for Iraq, which is acting diplomatically and politically to stop the aggression and brutal war on the Palestinian territories.

On her part, Ms. Al Jobury outlined the details of what is happening in the Gaza Strip and the humanitarian crisis that its residents are experiencing, extending her thanks and appreciation for the Iraqi support provided to UNRWA.
