Statement

The Foreign Ministry expresses the Republic of Iraq’s welcoming of the Republic of Armenia’s announcement of its recognition of the State of Palestine.

While the Ministry commends this important step, it stresses the necessity of restoring the Palestinian right to establish an independent state with Al Quds as its capital.

The Ministry renews its call on the international community to assume its legal responsibility and implement the resolutions of international legitimacy related to ensuring the right of Palestinian people to self-determination, and achieve their legitimate national aspirations.
