Undersecretary for Bilateral Relations Participates in Russian National Day Celebration

Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Bilateral Relations, Ambassador Mohammed Hussein Mohammed Bahr Al-Ulum, participated in the Russian National Day celebration, organized by the Russian Embassy in Baghdad, on Tuesday, June 11, 2024. The event was attended by high-level diplomatic and political figures.

Undersecretary Bahr Al-Ulum, gave a speech during the event, in which he offered congratulations to the government and people of Russia on this occasion, commending the depth of the historical relations between the two countries which will reach its eighty years next September.

In his speech the Undersecretary, discussed the progress witnessed in the relations between Baghdad and Moscow in recent years at various levels, stressing the importance of Russia’s contribution and friendly countries to the reconstruction of Iraq, in light of the security stability it is witnessing, and its orientation towards development through investment in various sectors and economic openness towards countries in the region and the world, as the economy is considered a bridge to achieving peace.
