Iraq Participates in Third Arab Forum for Arms Control
The Republic of Iraq participated in the Third Arab Forum for Arms Control, Disarmament and Non-Proliferation, organized by the League of Arab States, in cooperation with the State of Qatar, which was held in Doha.
The participating delegation included the Permanent Representative of the Republic of Iraq to the United Nations, Dr. Abbas Al Fatlawi, the Chargé d’Affaires of the Embassy of the Republic of Iraq in Doha, Dr. Ahmed Al Naqqash, the representative of Interior Ministry Brigadier General Mansour Al Saadoun, and Counselor Ikhlas Jassim, the desk officer at the embassy.
The Forum was attended by representatives of Arab countries and international experts from regional and international organizations, the meetings resulted in the developing and adoption of a treaty aimed at making the Middle East free of nuclear weapons and other weapons of mass destruction.
