Foreign and Oil Ministries Delegation Holds Sectoral Discussions in Uganda
A delegation from Foreign and Oil Ministries, led by Head of Africa Department Dr. Ghazi Al Toubi, held an extensive meeting with their Ugandan counterparts, led by Ambassador Phillip Odida, Director Regional and International Political Affairs at Ugandan Foreign Ministry. The meeting took place at the Ugandan Foreign Ministry’s Headquarters, during the meeting the head of Africa Department gave a comprehensive overview on the economic advancement and security stability in Iraq.
The delegation also held discussions with several sectors, in the fields of security, international cooperation, energy, agriculture, investment, and capacity building.
The Ugandan side reviewed the possible opportunities and prospects for cooperation with Iraq, as well as Dr. Al Toubi, stressed the importance of framing collaboration between the two countries through agreements and memorandums of understanding to ensure continuity of cooperation in a way that serves common interests.
The meeting was attended by the representative of the President of the Republic of Uganda, and representatives of the Ministry of Labour, the Ministry of Energy and the Consular Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
