Head of Arab Department Receives Palestinian Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs

On Wednesday, June 5, 2024, Head of Arab Department Mr. Osama Mahdi Ghanem, and Head of Protocol Department Mr. Ammar Dawood, met  with Assistant Foreign Minister for Arab Affairs of the State of Palestine, Ambassador Fayez Abu Al Rub, and the Ambassador of the State of Palestine in Baghdad, Ahmed Al Ruwaidi, at the Ministry’s headquarters . 

During the meeting they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways to enhance them, in addition to reviewing the ongoing preparations for holding the meetings of the Iraqi-Palestinian Joint Committee, and the developments on the international arena. As well as discussing preparations for the visit of the Prime Minister of the State of Palestine, Dr. Mohammad Mustafa, to Baghdad this weekend.

The head of Arab Department, praised the sacrifices made by the Palestinian people in confronting the occupying forces, to gain their freedom and establish their independent state with Al Quds Al Sharif as its capital. 

On his part Ambassador Abu Al Rub, extended his thanks to the government and people of Iraq for supporting the Palestinian cause in all international forums.
