Head of Arab Department Receives Chargé d’affaires of Embassy of Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Baghdad

The Head of Arab Department Mr. Osama Mahdi Ghanem, received the Chargé d’affaires of the Embassy of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan in Baghdad, Mr. Zaid Abdel Karim Abu Hassan. The Chargé d’affaires delivered a joint invitation letter addressed to Prime Minister Mohammed Shia Al-Sudani, from King Abdullah II bin Al-Hussein of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, the President of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Abdel Fattah El Sisi, and Secretary-General of the United Nations António Guterres  to participate in the emergency international conference on urgent humanitarian response for Gaza, hosted by the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan.
During the meeting, the two sides discussed the continuing repercussions of the aggression launched by the “Israeli” entity against the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip, in apparent violation of the provisions of international and humanitarian law, as well as Mr. Ghanem affirmed the firm stance of the Iraqi government and people towards the Palestinian issue. 
In addition to, they discussed the preparations of holding the 30th session of the Iraqi-Jordanian Joint Committee .
