Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets UN Special Envoy of Secretary General for Syria in Brussels

On Monday, May 27, 2024. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mr. Fuad Hussein, met with Mr. Geir O. Pedersen United Nations Special Envoy of the Secretary-General for Syria, on the sidelines of the 8th Brussels Conference on ‘Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region’. During the meeting the two sides discussed bilateral relations and the challenges facing Syrian refugees, stressing the need to provide them with the necessary supplies and aid, in addition to they touched on the political and economic situation in Syria. 

Minister Fuad Hussein, praised the positive role of Special Envoy Pedersen, with Syrian refugees, and his prominent role in the 8th Brussels Conference on ‘Supporting the Future of Syria and the Region’.
