Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets Foreign Minister of Kingdom of Morocco on Sidelines of Council of Arab Foreign Ministers Meetings

On Wednesday, May 15, 2024. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, met with Foreign Minister of the Kingdom of Morocco, Mr. Nasser Bourita, on the sidelines of the foreign ministers’ preparatory meeting for the Council of the Arab League at the 33rd Arab Summit in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the meeting they reviewed the close bilateral ties between the two brotherly countries, and the current regional and international developments in the region.

Both sides emphasized the necessity of holding the Iraqi-Moroccan joint committee, in addition to the Iraqi and Moroccan businessmen forum. As well they discussed the experience of the Kingdom of Morocco in the field of renewable energy and ways to benefit from it.

The two sides also agreed to cooperate in the banking sectors to benefit the economy of the two countries, and to facilitate the procedures of granting entry visas to Iraqis by the Moroccan side.

Additionally, to enhance bilateral relations and the process of joint Arab action, the Moroccan Foreign Minister extended an invitation to his counterpart to visit Morocco, and the Minister expressed his thanks and welcomed the invitation.
