Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets his Kuwaiti Counterpart

On Tuesday, May 14, 2024. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, met with Minister of Foreign Affairs of the State of Kuwait Mr. Abdullah Ali Al Yahya, on the sidelines of the foreign ministers’ preparatory meeting for the Council of the Arab League at the 33rd Arab Summit, which is being hosted by the Kingdom of Bahrain.

During the meeting, they reviewed the historical relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to strengthen ties by developing a strategy that frames this relationship in the direction that best serve common aspirations.

Minister Fuad Hussein, stressed that the 34th Arab Summit will be held in Baghdad, which will reflect positively on Iraq’s relations with its Arab brothers.

On his part, the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister praised the Development Road project, which is considered one of the successful and important economic projects that will serve all countries of the region.

Minister Alyahya, also commended the visit of Prime Minister Mr. Mohammad Shia Al-Sudani to Washington, describing it as a historic visit as it represents a new strategy for the success of negotiations between Iraq and the United States, stressing that the stability of Iraq means stability for Kuwait and the region.
