Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Receives Director of Middle East Programs at U.S. Institute of Peace
On Thursday, May 9, 2024. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, received the Director of the Middle East Programs at the U.S. Institute of Peace, Mr. Sarhang Hamasaeed, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.
During the meeting, they discussed the Institute’s activities in Iraq and the prospects for continuing cooperation with the Foreign Ministry, emphasizing the importance of the Institute, its role and activities in Iraq, which go back more than 10 years, especially in the field of national reconciliation and promoting civil peace, in addition to the rehabilitation of local communities in areas liberated from Da’esh terrorist groups.
