Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Receives Condolences Over Passing of his Spouse in Erbil

On Sunday May 5, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, received condolences over the passing of his wife Ms. Carolina Montessori, in Erbil, the capital of Iraq’s Kurdistan Region.

The funeral was attended by the region’s senior political, party and governmental leaders, led by Mr. Masoud Barzani, the region’s Prime Minister, the Deputy Prime Minister, members of the political bureau of the Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Patriotic Union of Kurdistan, and leaders of the Kurdistan parties, in addition to religious, civil and social figures and diplomatic missions in the region, who expressed their deepest condolences and sympathy to His Excellency Minister Hussein, asking Allah the Almighty to extend his mercy to the deceased and rest her soul in eternal peace, and grant His Excellency and his family patience and solace.

On his part, the Minister extended his thanks and gratitude to all who offered condolence, asking Allah the Almighty to protect Iraq and its people everywhere.
