Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Receives Russian Ambassador to Iraq

Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Multilateral and Legal Affairs, Mr. Omer Al Berzinji, received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Iraq, Mr. Elbrus Kutrashev, at the Ministry’s headquarters on Monday 22 April.

The meeting discussed ways to strengthen relations between the two countries in various fields, including political, economic and cultural affairs, the two sides also exchanged views on regional and international issues of common concern, in addition to the meeting discussed several international draft resolutions before the United Nations General Assembly.

Undersecretary Al Berzinji, expressed his appreciation for the close relations between Iraq and Russia, stressing Iraq’s keenness to advance and strengthen these relations.

On his part, the Russian Ambassador stressed his country’s keenness to cooperate with Iraq across various fields.
