Iraqi Chargé d’Affaires Meets Speaker of the House of Representatives of Malaysian Parliament

On March 25, 2024, Iraq’s Chargé d’Affaires ad Interim Mohamed Faleh Hamoud, met with Speaker of the House of Representatives of the Malaysian Parliament Mr. Johari bin Abdul, at the Parliament headquarters in Kuala Lumpur.

During the meeting the Chargé d’Affaires gave a brief overview of the bilateral relations development between Iraq and Malaysia, which culminated in reopening the Malaysian embassy in Baghdad last year, and the exchange of visits and high-level bilateral meetings that will be witnessed this year, as well as the holding of the joint committee meeting in Baghdad.

On his part, Speaker Johari bin Abdul expressed his readiness and support for all forms of collaboration with Iraq, including cooperation at the parliamentary level through exchange of visits and bilateral meetings in international forums for the purpose of unifying mutual stances.
