Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs
On Tuesday, March 19, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, met with Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Ms. Mélanie Joly, at her office in Ottawa.
The meeting discussed bilateral relations and ways to promote them in various fields, in addition to both sides reviewed issues of common interest, and exchanged views on the ongoing war in Gaza and its consequences on the region and the world.
Both Ministers emphasized their continued support to UNRWA and providing aid to the Palestinian people.
The two parties also highlighted the Canadian experience on the system of federal governance and the regionalism and the possibility of benefiting from it to develop the experience of the federal system in Iraq.
