Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Receives Deputy Special Representative of UN Secretary-General for Iraq for Political Affairs and Electoral Assistance

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Mr. Omer Al Berzinji, received Mr. Claudio Cordone, Deputy Special Representative of UN Secretary-General for Political Affairs and Electoral Assistance of the United Nations Assistance Mission for Iraq (UNAMI), in his office at the Ministry’s headquarters on Wednesday, March 13, 2024.

The meeting discussed issues of common concern relevant to the work of the Foreign Ministry. As well as, Mr. Cordone touched on the importance of completing the archives and Property file of the State of Kuwait. In addition to, Undersecretary Al Berzinji stressed Iraq’s keenness to strengthen cooperation with the UN and its agencies on this important matter, expressing the desire of the Iraqi government and all its relevant institutions to support the efforts exerted by the United Nations and the Red Cross for providing assistance and support in various issues.
