Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein Meets Tanzanian Parliament Speaker and President of IPU Tulia Ackson.

On Monday, March 3, 2024, Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, met with Speaker of the National Assembly of the United Republic of Tanzania and President of the Inter Parliamentary Union Tulia Exon, on the sidelines of the third Antalya Diplomacy Forum, held in Turkey, Antalya.

During the meeting, both sides discussed ways to strengthen bilateral relations between Iraq and Tanzania in various aspects. As well they touched on the democratic experience and institutional building in both countries, especially the legislative institutions, Minister Hussein extended an invitation to Ms. Exon to visit Iraq and meet with the Iraqi Council of Representatives, he also extended an invitation to the Tanzanian Foreign Minister to visit Iraq, in addition to indicating the opportunities for economic cooperation between the two countries and the possibility of developing them, especially in the field of oil and gas, in a way that serves the interests of both countries.
