Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Meets European Union Special Representative for Gulf region

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein, met with Mr. Luigi Di Maio, European Union Special Representative for the Gulf region, on the sidelines of the Third Antalya Diplomacy Forum on Saturday, March 2, 2024. During the meeting, they discussed and assessed the situation in the region, especially the war on Gaza and its implications on the region and the glob if not contained.

The two sides discussed the upcoming visit of Minister Hussien to Cairo to participate in 161^st Session of the Council of the League of Arab States.

Mr. Luigi Di Maio, reviewed the stances of the European Union member states on various issues of regional and international concern, expressing his desire to visit Iraq in the future, wishing to maintain communication, and the distinguished relations between Iraq and the European countries.
