Iraq’s Ambassador to Nicosia Meets Cypriot Minister of Energy, Commerce and Industry

On Friday, February 23, 2024, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to Greece and non-resident Ambassador to Cyprus Mr. Mouayed Saleh, met with the Cypriot Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry Mr. Giorgos Papanastasiou, During the meeting, they discussed ways to strengthen bilateral cooperation to serve the interests of both countries, and to work on increasing trade exchange, in addition to enhancing cooperation in the field of renewable energy through transferring of Cypriot expertise.

Both sides also reviewed the available investment opportunities in Iraq, and encouraging Cypriot companies to benefit from them.
