Head of Asia and Australia Department Receives Australian Ambassador to Iraq

The acting head of Asia and Australia Department Dr. Hamid Aljubouri, received the new Australian Ambassador to Iraq Mr. Glenn Miles, during the meeting they discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation between Iraq and Australia at various levels. Dr. Aljubouri appreciated the Australian government’s supportive stances towards the Iraqi government in combating terrorism and security cooperation, stressing Iraq’s keenness to build distinguished relations with Australia.

On his part Ambassador Miles, highlighted the depth of bilateral relations between the two countries, and the readiness of his country’s embassy in Baghdad to provide any support aimed to further strengthen relations between both countries.
