Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Receives Ambassador of Russian Federation to Iraq

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Mr. Omer Al-Barzanji, received the Ambassador of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Iraq Mr. Elbrus Kutrashev, in his office at the Ministry’s headquarters on Tuesday February 13, 2024. Both sides discussed several topics of common interest, related to coordination in areas of cooperation available within the Organization of Islamic Cooperation. The Undersecretary reviewed the cooperation and common stances in human rights, mutual support in nomination for membership in international organizations, respect for religions, Russia stances against the violation of religions, and other stances that receive great interest and appreciation in Iraq.

On his part, Ambassador Kutrashev expressed his country’s readiness to cooperate with Iraq regarding the resolutions of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation.
