Head of Arab Department Receives Yemen’s Ambassador to Iraq

The acting head of the Arab Department Mr. Osama Mahdi Ghanem received the Ambassador of the Republic of Yemen to Iraq Al-Khader Ahmed Marmash, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and ways to enhance them. Mr. Ghanem stressed the Ministry’s keenness to support the Yemeni diplomatic Mission in Baghdad, and overcome all obstacles to accomplish its work.

On his part, the Yemeni Ambassador expressed his thanks to the Iraqi government and the Foreign Ministry for supporting the work of the Embassy in Baghdad, emphasizing the importance of reaching an agreement with the Ministry of Higher Education to sign a memorandum of understanding with its Yemeni counterpart, to facilitate Yemeni students obtaining seats in Iraqi universities.
