Undersecretary for Political Planning Meets Students of Diplomatic Qualifying Course
Undersecretary for Political Planning Affairs Ambassador Dr. Hisham Al-Alawi, met with the students of the 28th Diplomatic Qualifying Course which is currently held at the Foreign Service Institute, to review the achieved progress and the necessary guidance.
During his speech, The Undersecretary pointed out the necessity of improving their language skills, proficiency in Arabic and English languages, in addition to official languages of the United Nations, stressing the Ministry’s leadership’s keenness to develop the method of languages tests in the ongoing diplomatic course.
The Undersecretary added that, among the other most important skills that a diplomat needs are the skills of writing official reports and minutes, as well as following up and analyzing the latest developments in the work area of the diplomatic mission.
The Undersecretary highlighted the Ministry’s leadership’s interest in diversifying the topics of study in the diplomatic training course, through a comprehensive vision for the nature of the Ministry’s work and the needs of diplomats, as well providing all facilities to make the course a success and overcome difficulties for the participants.
