Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Meets Tanzania’s Foreign Minister

Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Mr. Omer Al-Barzanji, met with Tanzania’s Minister for Foreign Affairs and East African cooperation Mr. January Makamba, on the sidelines of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit, in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, from 19 – 20 January 2024.

During the meeting, they discussed political situation in the Middle East, the Iraqi government’s approach towards openness on the countries of Africa, ways to enhance cooperation in international forums to serve the mutual interests of the two countries.

On his part, the Tanzanian Foreign Minister extended his thanks to Mr. Al-Barzanji, for providing the opportunity to exchange views between the two countries, indicating his hope to reopen the diplomatic Missions between both countries and resume the work of the joint committees.
