Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Meets Saudi Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs

Foreign Ministry Undersecretary for Multilateral and Legal Affairs Mr. Omer Al-Barzanji, met with Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of the kingdom of Saudi Arabia Mr. Waleed El Khereiji, on January 19, 2024, on the sidelines of the Ministerial preparatory meeting of the 19th Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) summit, in Uganda’s capital, Kampala, from 17 – 18 January 2024.

During the meeting, they exchanged views on the political situation at regional and international levels. Mr. Al-Barzanji highlighted Iraq’s continuous coordination with Arab countries, at Arabic and international multilateral forums, expressing his appreciation for the extent of the mutual support arrangements between the Republic of Iraq and the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in regard of obtaining international positions for both countries.

On his part, the Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister expressed his great appreciation for Iraq’s stance on issues related to the interests of the two brotherly countries.
