Head of Asia and Australia Department Receives a Delegation from Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs

On January 14, 2024, Dr. Hamed Aljubouri the Acting Head of Asia and Australia Department, received a delegation from Thai Ministry of Foreign Affairs, headed by the Director-General of the Department of South Asian, Middle East, and African Affairs Ambassador Worawoot Pongprapapant, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.
During the meeting, both sides discussed bilateral relations, means of promoting them, and issues of common interest.
As well they reviewed the possibility of holding political consultations, facilitating the visa process for nationals of the two countries, inviting Thai companies to work in Iraq and take the available investment opportunities, they also touched on the subject of resuming the meetings of the Iraqi -Thai Joint Committee, which is scheduled to be held in Baghdad during this year.
