Head of Europe Department Discusses Preparations for Upcoming Visit of the President of Republic of Armenia to Iraq with Chargé d’Affaires

The Head of the Europe Department Ambassador Haider Mansour Alathari, received at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad, the Chargé d’Affairs at the Embassy of the Republic of Armenia in Iraq, Mr. Robin Soghoian, on January 11, 2024.

During the meeting, they discussed ways of developing relations between Iraq and the Republic of Armenia and the ongoing preparations for the upcoming visit of the President of the Armenian Republic to Iraq.

Ambassador Alathari, stressed the importance of developing relations with the Armenian side in all fields, indicating that Iraq welcomes the visit of the President’s of the Republic of Armenia to Iraq, and pointed out the importance of working on preparing all agreements and memorandums of understanding that will be signed between both countries during the visit.

On his part, the Armenian Chargé d’Affaires affirmed his country’s keenness to cooperate with Iraq at all levels, hoping that the visit of the President of the Republic of Armenia to Iraq will be fruitful and contributes to strengthening bilateral relations between the two friendly countries.
