Head of Arab Department Receives UAE Ambassador to Iraq

The acting Head of the Arab Department Mr. Osama Mahdi Ghanem, received the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates to the Republic of Iraq Mr. Salem Issa Alzaabi, at the Ministry’s headquarters in Baghdad.

During the meeting both sides discussed strengthening of bilateral relations, issues of common interest, and reviewed draft memorandums of understanding between the two countries with coordination with the relevant ministries.

Mr. Ghanem stressed the Iraqi government’s keenness to maintain bilateral relations at the political, economic and cultural levels, calling on Emirati companies to invest in Iraq, which is witnessing the implementation of important projects in Baghdad and other Iraqi provinces.

On his part, the Ambassador of the United Arab Emirates extended his thanks and appreciation for the support and cooperation of the Foreign Ministry, which contributed to the success of the work of the UAE Embassy in Baghdad.
