Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Meets Pakistani Ambassador to Iraq
On Sunday 30/10/2022, the Undersecretary for Administrative, Technical and Legal Affairs, Ambassador Omar Al-Barzanchi, met the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan to Iraq, Mr Ahmed Amjad Ali, at the Ministry’s headquarters.
The Undersecretary welcomed the Pakistani ambassador, and touched upon the religious and doctrinair bonds that unite the two friendly countries, which is a fundamental issue in the brotherly relations between the peoples of the two countries.
On his part, the Pakistani ambassador congratulated Mr Al-Barzanchi on the occasion of assuming his position as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, referring to the high-level visits by senior officials from both countries, most prominently the visit of the two Iraqi Ministers of Foreign Affairs and Defence to Islamabad and the visit of the Pakistani Minister of Foreign Affairs and Minister of Military Industrialization to Baghdad last year. Such visits contributed to enhancing the relations between the two friendly countries.
The Pakistani ambassador also congratulated the Iraqi people for the formation of the new government, referring to his meeting with the Prime Minister, Mr Muhammad Shia Al-Sudani, inviting him to visit Pakistan in the near future.
The Head of Department of Asia and Australia, Dr Rahman Luan Mohsen, and the Pakistan’s Desk Desk, Counsellor Mahmoud Khalid Aba Thar have attended the meeting.
