Undersecretary for the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Omar Al-Barzanchi Meets Turkish Ambassador to Iraq

On 31/10/2022, the Undersecretary for Administrative, Technical and Legal Affairs, Mr Omar Al-Barzanchi, met the Ambassador of the Republic of Türkiye to Iraq, Mr Ali Reza Guney.

The undersecretary welcomed the ambassador, and touched upon the historic neighborly relations between the peoples of the two countries. The two sides also reviewed the most important issues and current events, and affirmed their mutual keenness to develop the cooperation in all fields to meet the interests of the two neighboring countries, and the joint work with the competent authorities of Iraq to resolve problems and overcome difficulties.

On his part, the Turkish ambassador congratulated the Undersecretary on the occasion of the assumption of his position as Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, in addition to the formation of the new government. He also offered his condolences for the tragic incident of the tanker explosion in Baghdad, on Saturday 29/10/2022.

Assistant Head of the Department of Neighboring Countries, Counsellor Mohammed Salman Hamad, and the Economic Affairs Desk Officer in the Türkiye Section, Mr.Anwar Majid Hameed have attended the meeting.
