Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs and His Tunisian Counterpart Agree to Hold the Joint Committee in Baghdad
Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr Fuad Hussein, and his Tunisian Counterpart Mr Othman al-Jarandi, have agreed to hold the Iraqi-Tunisian joint committee in Baghdad to continue the relations and advance them to higher levels. This came during a session of bilateral talks held in the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria, on the sidelines of the 31st Arab Summit.
The two sides discussed means of enhancing the cooperation between Iraq and Tunisia, and ways of upgrading the bilateral relations to reach the level of ambition of both countries. Minister Fuad Hussein pointed out “There are multifaceted relations between the two countries, and we are keen to establish a typical relationship based on the rapprochement and bonds of brotherhood between the two peoples, stressing the importance of coordination and cooperation between the two countries to confront the challenges facing the region, including the phenomenon of terrorism.
The two ministers discussed the most important issues and developments on the Arab, regional and international arena, and files of common interest.
